Riding The Wedge again

Takenoya - Riding The Wedge

Another example, this time in the Yaoi style. The wedge apex looks pretty sharp but the sense of sitting and spreading of legs isn't strong. The pirate headscarf would almost qualify for my 'silly hats' series, but I like the collar, it chimes in with my current story at the Yahoo Group (link in sidebar).

Takenoya uses the wedge motif extensively and most imaginatively too,
unfortunately most of the images feature baby-faced captives
which I won't publish on this blog.
If anyone can give me a link for Takenoya I'll add it here.

Facchini - Dentist
I stumbled across this 'wedge-ette' while updating my A-Z on the artist.
It's just an ancilliary torment in this scenario. I am a fan of Facchini, but his ambiguous arrangement of the prisoner's tackle shows that the challenge of the wedge is not confined to it's victim!

but it's a splendid wedge with a saw-tooth top edge.

The Look - Frightened Captive

So simple but so erotic. 

He'd just been enjoying himself in the club when they siezed him.

Retrorope

These images come from the RetroRope Blog which is a fairly recent arrival.
It's full of original, good quality, bondage imagery.

For the most part the guys are fully dressed in simple, masculine clothes, like the classic white tee-shirt and jeans above. This gives air of authenticity, regular guys, a visiting workman perhaps,  come to fix the plumbing, then unexpectedly trapped and made captive.


The stuggles of the captives trying to escape their bondage are particularly well depicted and purposeful. This young man twists round to assess his position while his captor is away, no doubt examining the pockets of his trousers to discover more about his unwanted visitor.


There's no nudity on this site, but the occasional flash of practical male underwear is not short of erotic power. The shirt and tie, carefully placed on one side in this picture, suggest this business man intended to return to his office. But someone may have other ideas.

 The bondage formula is simple - hands, feet and gag. It allows the men great freedom to struggle and flex their bodies. How little it takes for a strong man to be placed under control.

There's an air of concentration about this workman as he tests the captor's restraints.
His simple clothing, complete with chunky belt and workboots is strongly masculine. The glimpse of nipple mound and defined forearm muscle is subtly erotic.
Who needs harnesses?


 The earthy colours and uncluttered appearance of the apartment setting used by the photographer gives a stylish feel to the pictures and focusses attention firmly on the models and their plight. No garish duvets here! This spread-eagle position does not permit much body movement but the use of a mirror reflection adds psychological interest, making it seem as though we are there, spying on the struggles of the frightened captive who is unaware of us watching him.

Hoping for a rescuer?
I'm glad the captor made this salesman remove his jacket before tying him up. Jackets look messy scrunched up with rope and shirts are more revealing, spot the nipple! The white vest worn unself-consciously beneath the shirt is another delightful 'real man' touch. 

For this man, the possibility of escape has been made more difficult by the removal of his shoes.The level of restraint is more aggressive too. The chest and upper arm binding limits the scope for him to slip out of his wrist ties, Tieing his ankles to the cross bracing of the chair makes lifting his leg that much harder too. His feet can barely reach the floor, showing their shape to good effect for those of us who enjoy such things.

Baron - Sawhorse
 
A slightly fuzzy contribution to our 'Riding The Wedge' tortures from Baron.
For commercial reasons, this artist rarely publishes high resolution copies of his pictures, so I've blown this up from a catalogue page. It gives you the gist of what's going on though it scarcely does justice to his remarkable photo-manipulation technique. 

 His historical scenes have a sense of realism, but it's a movie-like version of realism where buff models are pitched into nightmare scenarios. With Baron, there is sometimes blood on the floor but only just enough to chill the soul and kindle our fears for the fate of the beautiful captives. 

I'm presently preparing a more substantial article on his work for future publication.

Swimming Trunks Shredded

This recent fetish storyline from BF caught my eye. It features a swimmer who falls foul of the Swimming Team Management - and pays the price.

 Model Scott has a decent enough body and wears his speedo's well. I like the gleaming body highlights suggesting he's just out of the pool - it would be interesting if his trunks were wet too!

 The evidence. Scotty protests in vain that it's the syringe he uses to refill his printer cartridges. His face has a look of naivety and innocence but he's not fooling anyone. A likely story they scoff, looks like a long ban for you!

 Poor Scotty is devastated, all his hopes for the Games, all that training down the drain. They can see he's going to be like putty in their hands.

For the avoidance of doubt, there's a simple test to verify the side effects of ingesting diluted cyan ink and Scotty finds that refusal is not an option.
The grope is invasive, but swimming trunks were made for this!
Scotty turns out to be not putty exactly, but something a bit warmer and firmer.

The bottom clinches it. Those rosy, blushing cheeks are conclusive proof 
- not of cyan abuse, but of a guilty conscience.


Scotty's team speedo's are ceremonially cut off his body using the revered, traditional scissors specially kept by the committee for detrunking fallen swimmers.
"No!" whines Scotty, visibly shrivelling. 
"Please don't kick me out of the team. I'll do anything!"

They immediately close in and Scotty realises he may have overdone it.
"Well, says the team manager, there might just be a way....."

Scotty's broad back and a flail turn out to be a match made in heaven.





He takes his unexpected punishment like a man, but fortunately for him he grimaces enough for the two officials to get the satisfaction they want. It's worth it to stay in the team, but they haven't told him that he also faces a year of looking after the Swimming Team's kit. Well, maybe that's not such a bad punishment.

Men Sharing Clothes 15 - Grey Leotard

This series has already featured the green leotard worn by many men at Bound Guys, this example features some better known models also unwittingly sharing intimate, wrestling kit.

 Doug Acre's chunky body belies his boyish looks, especially those well-developed thighs which show off the lines of the leotard beautifully. The garment is a turn-on to wear, hugging the lower body without constraining movement - as you can see. Of course it could be the rope that's triggering Doug off,  the thought of a passer-by taking advantage of him, or perhaps he's imagining who might have dampened this garment previously?

Who just happens to be Angel Rock. In the same outfit he cuts a leaner, meaner style with a little body hair adding extra masculine spice to the sweaty mix as he gives his captive some hard teasing. The hoop-la humiliation featured in this scene with Connor Patricks just looks comical, but imagine, any knocks on the balls when those rings land will cause quite a bit of aching! Which explains Connor's anxious look and Angel's smile as he moves in for 'work-in-progress' inspection. Looks like the leotard's getting some juicy preparation for it's next assignment.

The Art of Baron

Baron - Injun Revenge
 
Baron has been producing photo manipulations with strong S+M flavours for some years now. This 2004 image of three Cowboys held captive and tortured by an Indian is quite well known. The power of the picture depends on the viewer's knowledge of the reputed cruelty of these tribesmen towards white men. It's suggested quite mildly by the pec cuts and details like the fire, but it's the wary expectancy of the third man staked out for attention in the cave that really invokes the sense of deadly threat. The lush muscularity and arousal of the foreground captives gives the picture an
erotic dimension for the viewer which is totally absent from the action. 

 Baron - The Arab Market

Cruel redskin stereotypes are pretty much consigned to history in our more enlightened times. The people of the Middle East are not so lucky, but but this fanciful invocation of a slave market is pure fantasy. Once again, we have three enviable, white hunks held captive, but this time they are facing an uncertain future in servitude. Presumably some cruelty will be involved, but as long as their new owners allow them ample use of gym facilities, they should be OK.

Observe how remarkably clean and uncrowded the market is, Baron's 'realism' is that of the glossy entertainment industry rather than 'warts and all' historical authenticity. This place is actually more akin to an upmarket bordello, where scarce gems like this can be constantly recycled for greater profit. 
Baron  - Germanicus Divine
 
Baron's settings go back to Medieval times and Ancient Rome and he's on safer ground depicting the cruelty and punishments from those eras. In this crucifixion scene, once again, it's the knowledge of what is to come that drives the drama, although the use of ropes instead of nails and the traces of cuts and bruises give ambiguous messages. The expression of the naked victim as he watches the arrangements for his demise being dispassionately completed around him is quite arresting. The crowded perspectives in this picture are not entirely successful, but highly dramatic, lending a purposeful bustle and complexity to the gang's activities.

Baron - The Stripping
These anonymous, 20th Century soldiers appear to have a more earthy fate in mind for their vanquished enemy, much like other military victors down the ages. Baron's models always look buff, clean and well-groomed and that serves the erotic purpose, but they do seem more at home in modern uniforms.

Baron does not simply assemble figures into a composition but manipulates and combines small details from different pictures with remarkable skill, blending of the different elements together so fine that it is difficult to 'see the joins' and they appear to be real photographs at first. 


Tatanka's Triumph (2013)

I particularly like Baron's 'Western' scenarios and this more recent picture shows his ability to create broad sweeping, epic-style images. The ominously circling birds are a recurring motif, they even crop up, surreal fashion, in indoor scenes sometimes. The separate detail image illustrates his careful construction of erotic flavouring using clothing, just enough to stimulate the imagination. The surprising glimpse of heart pattern underwear, linking to the present day, makes you wonder what sort of ritual is really being enacted here.

My final example is also a detail of a larger work and I've included it because it is such a beautiful image, not just for the men and the clever use of sexy clothing, but for the interesting, uncluttered setting and the marvellous balance of colours and the lighting which seems to shine out of the picture like an old master. The arrangement of domino-like tiles on the floor appears to be some sort of test and the sense of expectancy created by the on-lookers, next in line is very clever.

Baron sells his work and he protects his copyright by usually releasing only low resolution images and details of larger pictures like those reproduced above.He offers his work for sale through the Subterranean Yahoo Group, publishing tantalising teasers there for lurkers to enjoy. Whatever happened to boundxxboy?

Long ago when the internet was still young
 and Bound Gods just a twinkle in Van's eye,
there was boundxxboy


As cute a guy as you could ever wish to meet. 


With a beautiful, lean muscled body.

Trouble was, the local toughs seemed to find him an irresistible target 


When he came home from jogging they were there,
eager to take his sweaty clothes.


Time and again he was stripped to his underwear and tossed on his bed
and he knew what would be coming next.


The trouble was, he did get a boner when they strapped his ankles together and hog-tied him.

 Baron - Study of a Prisoner
During research for my recent post on Baron, I turned up this picture of a tethered slave and the 'key out of reach' motif reminded my of Tom's take on the same theme (below). I wanted an excuse to use Baron's terrific picture anyway, it's a marvellous figure with a beautiful physique and a sexy pose. I love the split underpants and the refreshingly relaxed cock.


Tom of Finland - Tethered
Tom's picture is a quite different subject and the stud's equipment is at the other end of the scale, as you might expect for a Tom picture (although it appears the leatherman retreating in the background didn't!) This is actually quite a nice sketch from the period when Tom's men looked youthful and beautiful, with real faces and dressed to reflect street fashion. 

But it's the vanquished leatherman who represents the future, 
a foretaste of the accident-prone, stereotypical hero 'Kake'. 

The slapping down of youthful 'entrants', depicted so clearly here, is funny enough,
 but the motivations seem oddly conservative (almost spiteful) for a sexual revolutionary like Tom, who is normally credited with depicting gay sex as a joyful pastime.

Men Sharing Clothes 16 - Green Speedo's

In these articles I reflect on the strangely sexy effect that results from wearing clothes belonging to or previously worn by another man. In this group, three men create some interesting contrasts from the same pair of swimming trunks.


This hunk is a body builder called Derren McLaury and he fills out these swimming trunks very nicely for AAG. This traditional style of swimwear particularly suits older looking men. Green can be a tricky colour but it goes great with darker skin tones and in this case tones nicely with the sea around him.

Of course rolling the top down always enhances the erotic vibe but you can see in this reclining pose that the design works well for Derren when it's worn as intended too, with the waist pulled up. That twinkle in his eye would melt the hardest heart.


No 2 in our parade is Kyle Heinz, same trunks, similar location, but quite a different effect. The trunks seem to drain his colour away (assisted by the background glare). They also accentuate his slimmer (but no less muscular) build creating a much more boyish appearance which doesn't have anything like the same sex appeal, despite the sultry facial expression.


Now see this same model in more youthful surfing shorts and he looks great! Admittedly he's coloured his skin and buffed up for competition here, but the long shorts accentuate his slender proportions making a virtue of them. Kyle's face suggests he might be a sporty sort of guy and the contemporary, casual garment complements that impression.


Finally take Justin De Roy. The proportions of the trunks on his body tell you he's a big man, although you wouldn't guess it from the delicate, chiselled features of his face. The trunk design certainly suits his physique and the colour is right for his skin but somehow, in combination with the casual beefcake pose it doesn't quite do him justice. He looks as though he ought to be doing something more serious.


This image by Luis Rafael, using pinks and greys works better. The pose, looking back to Michaelangelo's studies of slaves and other classical art takes advantage of Justin's statuesque appearance. Michaelangelo's sculpted slaves were trapped within the rock from which he carved their bodies, Luis has 'trapped' Justin behind heavy, bolted and chained metal doors, creating a stunning image and suggesting a stimulating scenario for would be collectors.

Yet Another 'Wedge'

Nursury0 - Go For a Ride

Every time I think I must have exhausted the list of artists exploring the punishment potential of the Wedge another one turns up! This is by Nursury0 and explore seems the right word for this set of variations. His Wedge is a real leg spreader and the frontal viewpoint gives a sense of the discomfort involved. This victim has to endure it under the glare of hot studio lights - and presumably an audience.

Nursury throws in a shredded clothing humiliation for extra interest, ripping up his
Spiderman outfit that must have been extremely expensive to buy! I'm not a superhero aficionado (particularly where masks are involved) but as far as I know Spiderman's powers do not emanate from his clingy gear, so this is pure vandalism on Nursury0's part, the cruelest cut. Sadly it also deprives us of a view of the captive's cock straining to get out of his body hugging suit.

Bound and Gagged - an appreciation part 2

Military images were a regular feature of B&G and the uniforms they used always seemed to fit the models and co-ordinate properly, giving them just enough authenticity. The haircut too is right in this example.

Brent Woods Tied Up and Spanked 

Spanking fans were well looked after by B&G and they are probably responsible for a large proportion of the posts by the studio circulating on the internet. The coupling of spanking and bondage is a rare treat and this set is made all the more memorable by the model's natural attractions and (for me) the half-masted,white underpants.

'Shadow' buckled, tied and taped

Serious bondage with the arms pulled right back and the face almost mummified. The combination of all these different types of restraint seems like overdressing to me, but it gives a powerful impression of overwhelming subjugation. The street clothes, suggestive of a manual worker, are a million miles away from the world of leather dungeons - but perhaps not for much longer!

 Let's Tie Up Tommy - Ethan Starr, Sam Dixon and Mason Jarr

The title is as memorable as the image and spawned many fantasy moments for me.
B&G often showed the process of tying up the captive, which I find highly erotic.Unfortunately most commercial imagery these days tends to focus on the end result only. 'Roping' up is more suited to still imagery rather than videos, since endless fumbling with knots and feeding of long ropes through loops while the 'victim' patiently waits, unresisting, is not very exciting (although all that's needed is some imaginative editing to make it so).
The 2 on 1 situation depicted here is not without it's appeal either.

Adam Koch handgagged by Ryan Chandler

 There was a plentiful supply of cute models for the publication and some useful ideas on what to do with your captive when you have finished preparing him. In this set the model was seated outside on a porch for the enjoyment of passers by.

JT Sloane torments Sweet Williams

'Real men' were featured too, the immobilisation of a chunky muscleguy by a smaller man is always sexy. JT Sloane makes a great captor here with a face that could make you believe he really is a hard villain.

 B&G Magazine crashed unfortunately, but Bob Wingate has continued with a Bound and Gagged site selling some of the old material.

Captive Soldier

The captive's sweatily gleaming and nicely muscular body is what makes this picture work although the T-shirt gag is very odd, no wonder he's smiling!

I'm don't get excited about slaverysituations, but I do like this idea of a man tied to a chair and forced to watch the man he covets as a lover making out with someone else. It's a great restraint position, open and exposed at the front, the feet are raised into an uncomfortable position which also severely limits the scope for movement. It could be a great image were it not for the busy carpet and antique-y clutter which distract the eye and don't quite match the down-to-earth drama.



Sam Dixon tied up at the Pool by Jamie Lawless

This is just one of those pictures you know well  and wonder what else happens! The inclusion of the second man lifting up the feet and applying a little pressure to his captive gives the picture a lot more 'oomph' compared with a standard hog-tie nude.  It's a nice balanced composion too. 
Y-fronts on the right guy always float my boat.

 Tim Taylor

In this storyline, Tim Taylor played a thief who got more than he bargained for
 when he broke into an apartment. Most collections of spanking pictures seem to include this image although I confess it's not one of my favourites from a bondage point of view. 

Ricardo bound in white briefs

A great bondage image. Simple bindings and an uncluttered background make a great foil for the erotic combination of classic white underwear and sporty sneakers. It tells you this guy has been stripped and the purpose-designed gag means business. It's the same gag incidentally as the previous image but seems to work better on this man.

 Todd - hand-gagged soldier
This is a less well-known image but there a great sense of drama as the cute, well-turned out soldier is dragged off for dirty fatigues by an admirer.

 Seth Black devouring Adam Rom
Leather guy captured by a sportsman is not exactly a commonplace scenario. Leathermen are powerful objects of desire even for ordinary guys, but the leather-on-leather, dungeon genre, immersed in an underworld of sleaze and pain, doesn't really portray that more mundane attraction. Seth Black (right) has a natural, hormonal sexiness that's powered-up here by the choice of scanty clothing (which for a change actually looks like he's been wearing it - and odourising it!). His enthusiastic enjoyment of his fantasy prize probably sums up a desire which is widespread in the real world. This is what bondage is all about! The leatherman seems quite ill at ease, one might say stiff, under this erotic assault, which some might find ironic. On the other hand, his discomfort may simply be down to the gag plug in his mouth which looks pretty big and uncomfortable to me.

Talking of gags, here's an excellent image of a leather gag being strapped in place on a less than happy victim. The frontal strap on this type of gag makes the securing process particularly emphatic, intimate and erotic. I find the chunky 'jailor' immersed in this fiddly task quite appealing, but I've not been able to identify the models yet (anyone out there who knows?).

Bullies in the Barracks are always good for bondage and humiliation scenarios. B&G's usual authenticity falters here with the long hair and stylish boxers rather out of place and more likely to be on the receiving end of 'peer pressure' than dishing it out. I can forgive that for the cute victim and his perfectly-fitting, white underpants.

B&G featured some well-known porn stars in it's pages, I showed Logan Reed in my first post and above is another hairy man, Eric Evans. There is something particularly erotic about a big, hairy man tied up and helpless. The dishevelled clothing and head-down kneeling pose suggest it took quite a struggle to subdue him. The simple roping of the wrists is very nice.

Another fetish celebrity, Robert Black. It's a naked pose (well almost) for a change but the rusty cot and khaki and olive furnishings conjure up the mikitary fantasy. His legs held apart by the bed end and the arms pulled upwards away from the ass are great details - revealing all? Sadly not, it's a shame that the chunky knot-work obscures his ass-hole.

Marti - Hog-tied
This image is something of a classic, so frequently copied that it's almost a cliche. It's a measure of how B&G has infiltrated our psyche. Our attention is naturally drawn first to the captive's eyes and his expectant, slightly anxious expression. Look beyond that and we see he is totally naked, his nudity neatly book-ended and accentuated by the collar round his neck and the straps around his ankles. It's quite a tight hog-tie, not comfortable for very long. The halter loop tied round his shoulders and anchoring his feet is equally severe and if I'm not mistaken that's sizeable wad he's chewing on. Nice feet too.

Bound and Gagged Magazine - 5

My previous posts have concentrated on straight-forward bondage imagery but Bound and Gagged also featured some memorable bondage 'furniture'. The spanking bench in post no 3 is a fairly commonplace example but there are notable others.

 'Tag' in a Spherical Cage
A marvellous image that has been posted all over. It's not just the unusual shape that makes it interesting but the suspension which makes suggestive connections with bird cages and diving bells dipped into the ocean. I once read a fantasy book where a malevolent dwarf was kept in a suspended cage, square and made of wooden slats. I always found the idea exciting (if not the dwarf!)

A more conventional cage. The compact size is highly practical, it's not only space saving, but also heightens the sense of confinement for the prisoner. Unlike the prison cell, it allows no refuge from those outside the bars. I enjoy cage scenes but keeping the captive in bondage while inside seems a bit unnecessary. An unfettered man struggling to escape the tiny, unyielding cage would be quite erotic for me!

'The Box' was used to imprison many B&G models over the years. The squat design is more confining than the cage and the lid leaning against the side, threatening total enclosure is pretty intimidating. It looks like Dart is being 'mentored' by here by B&G regular, Lee.
Ryan Wagner in the Box
Ryan's projecting head is displayed humiliatingly as a coffee table ornament. It reminds me of those Westerns where the cowboy (notably Ty Hardin as Bronco!) was buried up to the neck by renegades. No ants here though. The Box offers limited erotic entertainment for on-lookers as we can't see inside, it worked better in the context of the magazine as a recurring punishment for different boys (Oh No! Not the Box!).

Tag Adams bound in the Box
In case you're wondering, Tag models the interior of the box. It's surprisingly spacious. Note the ventilation fan. These features allow for prolonged incarceration and heat games. It looks like Tag has just had a taste of such delights, you have to make 'em sweat!

Matt Grimes on the Compact Block
This restraining device is another neat, space saving design, forcing the cute model here into a suitably submissive position. The anchoring effect of the solid-looking black block needs no imagining, he ain't going anywhere.

Man tied over a Keg
This is not a well-known image and something of a novelty, but I enjoy a backward-arched male body. The yoke-like arm restraint doesn't exactly co-ordinate with the keg (oil-drum?) but it all looks pretty uncomfortable. The men discussing what to do to him is characteristic of B&G's down-to-earth slant on bondage scenes and allows the viewer to feel more of a connection.
