 Read this mitchmen series from Part 1

2012

Oztangles - Discipline 1

Oztangles most notable fetish imagery in 2012 was the 'Room 3' series in which an initiate is subjected to a ritualistic series of  punishments. The top is unconventionally dressed in a brown, distressed-leather outfit . It's almost as if he's about to go out for a night on the town, but certainly adds to the character's interest. Oztangles interest in men's clothing also surfaced in other pictures in this mitchmen selection of his work. 

This is not his most fluid art but the flying X-spread is rather good. The suspended captive is visibly suffering a beating on his back, but his decidedly cute bubble butt, which would also tempt most of us, seems to have escaped attention so far. The unusual tattoo just above his buttocks highlights them rather nicely and gives his character a element of boldness and edge. He's quite hairy too but despite these erotic triggers the top's cock seems  reticent to engage. This seems to match I might add, his somewhat cautious approach with the flail.


Oztangles - Discipline 2

In the reversed position the captive is revealed to have an unexpectedly nerdy, studious appearance and  a lot more body hair. The top has a more mature face which is characterful and attractive. His sexual interest in the proceedings seems to be growing and he moves in to casually tease his frightened captive with an electro wand. The weighted nipple clips, which are a familiar sight in this artist's fetish work, provide a nagging undercurrent to the sharp stabbing of the wand. 

The mirror reflections in these pictures are interesting and almost give us two pictures in one.


Oztangles - You'll Keep

The top's detachment is even more apparent in this image as he leaves his acolyte draped over an A-frame on the business end of a butt machine to attend to some other business or perhaps grab a coffee. While he's gone the captive must endure a continuous, mechanised ass-pumping. His gag has been removed inviting him to make as much noise as he wants, because no one will hear. The chilling sentiment expressed in the title leaves no doubt that there's much more torment in store for the him when the top returns. 

There's intriguing pump-like device in the right foreground here, 
it also appears in the previous picture but I've no idea what it does.


Oztangles - The Torment Continues

When the top does rejoin his captive, he's discarded his expensive clothes in favour of a leather harness, no doubt anticipating a more messy procedure. Oz has fitted his kit to his body rather snugly, which creates flattering curves. He's managed to avoid the 'painted-on' look, showing advancing technical skill. The mirror shows tantalising scantiness. 

The top has seated himself for this procedure (and he does seem to be approaching it like a surgeon). I can't decide if this is more evidence of his detachment from the process or simply a practical preparation for a lengthy 'edging' torment. 

The long-suffering captive gazes up to the ceiling stoically. He has two gadgets attached to his nipples that are supported on balanced, levers. It isn't obvious what they are, they look a bit like toothbrushes but they could equally be electro prods or simply hi-tech nipple weights. His hairy body has acquired an attractive chunkiness in this picture.


 

Oztangles - Nightmare

This is a curious image. It has the key ingredients of a nightmare - the approach of something indefinably terrible and the inability to escape from it. The dreamer seems to be stranded in an empty house and sitting in an old-fashioned wheelchair, as though this is the curse of a previous, infirm occupant, now long dead. The wheelchair might symbolise his inability to use his legs to escape.

The captive is crudely secured at wrist and ankle by wooden restraints like the pillory and stocks of medieval times but his seated position is somewhat at odds with the suggested nature of the beast's threat - a gigantic dong. The same incongruity can be seen in the conceptually similar Nightmare 4 (2011) which appeared in the previous post in this series at mitchmen.



Oztangles - Blue 2

To round off my 2012 selection I have chosen this, more arty exploration of the power of rendering. I like the Man in the Moon idea and have explored it myself in the past. The tip of the crescent rising between his legs is quite sexy.


2013

Oztangles - In The Mountains 2

This is my favourite image from 2013 which doesn't seem to have been a prolific year for this artist. It features the character with a beany hat who crops up from time to time in his work. I like the wild location which is nicely blended in with a pleasing colour palette. There's also a good sense of animation in the coupling.


Oztangles - The Fun Begins

The artist added to his 'Room 3' series in this year. A Japanese character who joins the party here dressed in a fundoshi with Japanese characters on it. He also appears in some of the 2012 pictures which I haven't included here but can be found at Oz's website. I'm not sure what his presence signifies in the narrative, perhaps adding expertise in the ancient art of torture. The vibrator he's holding seems a relatively mild contribution in that respect - or perhaps it's a microphone and this man's ordeal is about to reach the outside world.


2014

Oztangles - Detention 1

We've seen before that Oz is not averse to reworking a good idea and he reuses the setting from the Room 3 series for this image. This top looks more overtly villainous in his hood and overalls, flourishing a sci-fi gun of some sort, but like many of his peers in this artist's work, he's content to distance himself and observe the proceedings. That may be because the captive is bathed in a strange red light. It's not clear what it is but it's obviously causing him discomfort and making him sweat. 

This restraint stand has a more hi-tech look than it's predecessor. It has a cunning, upright pillar which leans back, keeping the captive permanently off-balance. It's similar to that deployed in the restraint of Dean Spencer in Fetish Sex Fights 3 (reviewed at mitchmen in Vintage Bondage - Dean Spencer).


Oztangles - The Sex Slaves' Dorm

With this image Oz overtly visualises a fantasy world of sexual slavery for the first time, I think, although his captivity scenarios also skirt round the idea. The top in charge of the slaves here has a touch of the pirate about him, suggesting that this is a space ship and that these men have been abducted from passing vessels to serve the all-male crew pending sale perhaps in a world that practices slavery. 

In this place it appears that free men wear scanty loin-cloths, I guess they are the warrior class. Slaves on the other hand are condemned to wear chastity cages and sleep in tiny, hi-tech pods which I must say look a lot more comfortable than old-fashioned cages. In gay fantasy, dorms are normally places of communal sex but in the wider world they are also the domain of bullying overseer's and I suspect that is what is happening here. The pirate's size and physique dwarfs his charges who stand before him warily trying to look respectful and not frightened while awaiting his pronouncement.


Oztangles - Fucking A Time Lord (Time Lords 3)

In the Time Lords series, the artist cleverly uses the clock in the background to sequence the images. 
Otherwise there's little obvious connection with the time travelling TV Series other than the suggestion in the title that the Doctor has materialised in a place that poses out of the ordinary challenges that can't be broadcast.

I like the chunky top with his gold accessories, also the steam-punk setting. 


Oztangles - Your Turn Tonight

Oz revisits the harem scenario here with a racial role-reversal that would probably considered a tad inappropriate these days. The submissive, caged slave on the right is a nice, fetish feature. Oz's passion for imaginative clothing surfaces again in the simple but striking silver cape. It would not be out of place in the strange world of the fashion catwalk although I fear it might provoke disrespectful comments about turkeys or hyperthermia. Nevertheless it's an interesting composition that draws the eye and stimulates the imagination.

In Part 1 we saw JT Sloan limbering up for this encounter in a sexy, white leotard.
Will Clark, his opponent does his warm up, dressed in a red leotard of slightly different design.

Planet Gay - Submission

 Super Top is Planet Gay's S&M fantasy hero. 
He dominates the cute young men who inhabit his idyllic world
 - and they love it!

This ruined chapel is a picturesque and romantic place to stumble across man.
He seems a likely catch, obligingly dressed only in underwear and boots.
Super Top takes him down and strikes a dominant pose.

Planet Gay - Captured

Super Top takes no chances.
He chains the captive's wrists together and leads him away.
Towards the setting sun - an ominous sign? or happy ending?

Super Top's outfit is quite unlike the skin-tight suits favoured by conventional superheroes,
it's more athletic and loose fitting - and shows more flesh!
Wearing his underpants as outer gear, however, is entirely authentic.
His haircut (or is it head tattoos?) create a dangerous, edgy impression 


Planet Gay - Chained

He chains his captive up to a pillar and leaves him to ponder.
What torments does he have in store for him?

The brightly coloured flowers don't suggest anything sinister is going on,
 although like much else here the plant does have a slightly spiky appearance
and it seems to be rambling towards the helpless captive.


Planet Gay - Super Top

When Super Top returns he's carrying another scantily-clad young man,
holding him aloft in the style of a wrestling victor.
Already the chains are in his hand read to make him a captive too.
Number 1 looks on helplessly at this latest display of power.


Planet Gay - I Like To Get To Know You

Super Top chains up his captives in intimate proximity to each other.
It seems he's turned into a super match-maker at this point.
Or is he simply preparing them to serve him together?
Both to be slaves to his every desire.

mitchmen editing note: I have altered the text in the speech bubble to try and make the English more natural without, I hope, altering the meaning. The enigmatic original says "So now the both of you can get to know you well", which is similar but slightly different to the title.


Planet Gay - The Kiss of Fate

The captives adjust pragmatically to their shared predicament.
This sudden friendship a distraction from the threat of captivity.

I'm not sure why it is described rather portentously as 'The Kiss of Fate'
unless it means they were fated to fall in love.


Planet Gay - The Winner (Victor?)

Super Top shows them that his altruism doesn't run to treating slaves as equals.
They must kneel at his feet in appropriate subservience.
It seems the newer one has already learned how to please him.
Super Top's underpants swell in response to his touch.

The sun ray pattern on the victor's top is unusual and unexpectedly body flattering.
It may be inspired by the flag of Japan.

This dramatic image with it's vivid, lightening-split backdrop
seems to hark back to those gay liberation images of the seventies,
which in turn seemed to be inspired by the hero art of Boris Vallejo and his like.
Those images which celebrated freedom and heralded a new dawn for gay men
don't seem entirely irrelevant today.

Classic Homoerotic Images - Levi Laundromat

This TV advert for Levi jeans starring Nick Kamen caused a sensation when it was first aired in 1985. Nick's public disrobing was not exactly shocking back then but it wasn't the sort of thing shown on TV and ads in the UK were still being policed by regulators. Somehow it escaped censure though.

For gay men, the homoerotic impact of a man stripping off on prime time TV was even greater. It must have been an unforgettable milestone for many teenagers in their journey to self-awareness. 

It was easy though to miss the explicit gay reference in the opening seconds, as a soldier loitering outside turns to look at Nick's ass.

The Art of Gilgamesh - 2

Gilgamesh - Broken on the Wheel

In some of Gilgamesh's early work he shows horned devils administering torture to their unfortunate captives. This one employs the classic back-breaking torture wheel, a spectacular device with a medieval ancestry, although it's method of use remains somewhat obscure and in some accounts is almost incidental to the punishment. Here Gilgamesh seems to see it as a type of rack for stretching victims.  

It's noticeable how he shows the two protagonists looking towards each other. The prisoner is not simply enduring his torment stoically, as is often the case in pictures like this, but showing emotion at his predicament. He might be pleading for mercy, expressing defiance or simply watching with dread for the next turn of the wheel but his feelings are part a significant element of the image. 

The Devil seems unmoved and determined to continue. Erotic undertones are supplied by the relatively inconspicuous cock binding and we might imagine the Devil is just returning to the lever having cruelly induced his prisoner's arousal, exposing his perverse pleasure in the agony.



Gilgamesh - Torture Frame

The interaction between the Devil and his captive approaches intimacy in this image. An ingenious frame with an adjustable back bar forces the prisoner into an arching position, similar to that on the wheel above. This allows his Devil to sexually tease and intimidate him at close quarters, his cock straining to escape from a holster-like G-string. The Devil is wearing an executioners mask here but it's not clear if his horns are real or merely a scary decoration incorporated into the mask. 

The background is dominated by an incongruous electronic device reminiscent of 1950's Sci Fi fantasies and Frankenstein laboratories. It stands against the wall glowing ominously. In the dim shadows we can see a more traditional dungeon accessory - an antique iron cage. A more mundane device sits on the table, a cut throat razor, possibly used to shave the prisoner of his manhood-defining body hair but it's super sharp blade always poses a threat.



The Devil's torment is even more complex here with the prisoner forced to squat on two posts and impale himself on a (hidden) dildo stake while the Devil plays with his manhood. His position is perilously steadied by a collar and chain which will suspend him by the neck if he falls. In fact in this series the Devil ultimately uses it to lower him onto the dildo stake, an example of darker thoughts that occasionally surface in this artist's work (see Part 3).

This is a complex torment worthy of of the Devil's reputation in the Christian religion and given the artist's Latin American background, it's tempting to make that a connection with these pictures. The Christian cross is actually shown on the wall in one of his  ''Heroes in Peril' images, as though referencing the tortures of The Inquisition. However that is an isolated example as far as I know and it's not obvious that these religious references have any deep meaning for the artist or are anything other than cultural. 


Gilgamesh - Demon Hunter Training

In his more recent work Gilgamesh substitutes other, unearthly beings for the Devil and draws on more 'modern' fantasy and game play scenarios. Thus this picture is based on the concept of a 'demon hunter', one who is better at finding them than eliminating them apparently. Gilgamesh describes him (the captive!) as a stud and he's certainly impressive with a particularly well-moulded, smooth body which contrasts dramatically with the wizened and wrinkled face of his captor. 

I suppose demon physiology is not necessarily the same as human's but this wrinkled face does not conjure up old age so much as a very long experience of  debauchery. So it's not surprising that having taken possession (as it were) of this interesting human foe the Demon is anxious to show him what he's been missing. 

Once again here we can see the captive's reaction. It looks like he's gritting his teeth as he deals with the initial restraint and pain, perhaps less conscious as yet of his sexually teasing display. I imagine there's going to be a lot worse to come.


Gilgamesh - Sergei's Desert Adventure p0

Other beings appear in Sergei's Desert Adventure ( a rather light-hearted term for what is about to befall him). Initially we see an extremely mature man, grizzled and exceptionally hairy, trekking across the desert. We know only that he is exploring, in search of adventure presumably, perhaps loot. He looks like a powerful, capable man, but details like the heat haze and his sweaty brow indicate that this trek is taking it's toll.

Eventually he finds an Oasis, a surprisingly luxuriant one.
He drinks some water, enjoys a refreshing swim and then falls asleep.

notice the realistic reflections in the water


Gilgamesh - Sergei's Desert Adventure p19

But Sergei is not alone.
Gilgamesh describes this horned creature as an 'imposing imp'. 
It appears that this oasis is one of his haunts, which may account for it's incongruous fertility.
He finds Sergei asleep, naked and defenceless, and likes what he sees.


Gilgamesh - Sergei's Desert Adventure p37

Arabia is not particularly well known for it's imps, but it is the land of enchantment.
Sergei awakes to find himself trapped in a magical web.
He tries to fight back but is eventually overwhelmed by the imp's spells.

In this sequence Gilgamesh uses imaginative imagery to convey a sense of glittering, magical manifestations gradually enveloping and overpowering Sergei.


Gilgamesh - Sergei's Desert Adventure p52

The imp is not only able to entrap Sergei with his magic,
he is able to materialise metal fetters and chains to permanently secure him.
He leads his captive out into the desert.

Using Magic to capture men, like drugging them, seems a bit of a cheat, but the end result seen here is a splendid image - a powerful man suddenly enslaved and dragged off like a chattel - for no apparent reason. He joins other forlorn captives at mitchmen blog, forced to cross the desert to an unpleasant fate in images by Chirenon, Bowen, Modus Vivendi, Amalaric and an unknown photo-shopper


Gilgamesh - Sergei's Desert Adventure 2 - p39

I won't reveal the entire storyline of Sergei's little epic (which appears unfinished at the time of writing but already runs to 143 panels) but I will mention a particularly nice moment in Part 2 which sees Sergei taken into an underground lair. His arrival causes enough of a disturbance to distract a second imp who has been amusing himself with another 'Adventurer'. 

His captive is an impressive man at first sight, younger and more clean-cut than Sergei, but despite his many attractions he's still less desirable than the older man, apparently. In this intriguing insight into the artist's thoughts, instead of welcoming the unexpected relief from impish torments, he almost seems to resent his sudden abandonment.

Gilgamesh has come a long way from that hunky young bodybuilder we saw in Part 1.

Other supernatural beings entrap a would-be plunderer in 'Igor's Adventure'

Igor's Adventure - Part 1 p5

Igor's is another extended story (currently 94 frames at the time of writing) and it reads like a classic labyrinth game. He is seen running through a maze of vaulted, stone corridors. There he encounters a strange creature (Gil describes it as goblin-like). It is clad in fetching leather (rubber?) briefs and kneels respectfully before him. Igor advances intending to kill it (just to be on the safe side presumably, in true gaming style). However the wily creature shoots drugged darts at him and brings him down. 


Igor's Adventure - Part 2 p4

While Igor is unconscious, the creature decides to make him his slave. 
He strips him of his weapons and all his clothes and starts to restrain him in 'enchanted' shackles.

Placing a captive in a seated position to tie him up is not an easy strategy but it makes a more interesting picture than the more conventional approach of tying up the man where he has fallen.



Igor's Adventure - Part 2 p13

Igor regains consciousness just as the creature is strapping a hard, metal ball-gag in his mouth. Realising what is happening, he leaps to his feet. He towers above his malevolent captor in this splendid image, but with his wrists and ankles clamped in iron fetters while he was unconscious, he discovers there isn't a lot he can do to him. The creature grins back at him.

This is a rather splendid imagining of the paradox of the giant rendered helpless by a smaller foe.
The giant, metal collar seems to embody the enormity of his humiliation.


Igor's Adventure - Part 2 p20

Igor panics and does succeed in kneeing the creature out of the way so he can make a run for it. 
Restricted by heavy shackles it's an act of pure desperation and a measure of his fear. 
The creature easily catches up with him and leaps onto his back.


Igor's Adventure - Part 3 p5

With the creature sitting on his shoulders, Igor finds he forced to obey it's commands. 
It directs him to descend into the dungeons.

This imagery seems to draw on very ancient roots and symbolism. It visualises the idea of 'the devil on my shoulder' but for the life of me I can't think of a literary example though it feels like there ought to be one in the Arabian Nights, Lord of the rings (Gollum?) or John Bunyan even. I'm sure it's popped up before in this blog but can't find it.


Igor's Adventure - Part 4 p41

At the foot of the stairs a dungeon awaits (you guessed!). 
A second creature helps to release Igor's fetters and chain him to the wall. 
Igor's balls are chained to a lug set into the floor of the cell.
His captor stays to play with him, drains him and then leaves.

The skull on the floor suggests that if his captors have anything to do with it, Igor's adventure will end here. That sense of isolation and abandonment haunts much of Gilgamesh's work. But Igor will have more duties to perform first, for as the creature leaves, he is already planning to return and 'adorn' Igor some more.

St Jinx - The Bound Lord

At first sight this looks like a crucifixion image but the handsome captive is actually spread-eagled between two pillars. The proliferation of arcane symbols tell you that this is an artist who majors in mystical fantasy. 

He is a highly accomplished draughtsman with a keen eye for the homoerotic. 
Nearly all of his subjects are scantily clad men representing the characters of the fantasy universe,
this is a rare one who looks relatively normal (if you don't count the wings).


St Jinx - The Warden

This character is one of 'The Fae' 

His butch face with a shock of blond hair, chin stubble and general hairiness are most un-fairy-like but appropriate enough for his role as a 'defender', although the artist hastens to assure us that he prefers ploughshares and ecology to swords.

Despite his butch face he has something intriguingly feminine about him.
Not least those flimsy, sagging briefs and pouty lips.


St Jinx - The Summoner

This seems like a nice boy, but his horns and black wings
reflect darker tendencies, a desire to control in fact.
Here he's seen summoning something in The Shadowlands
that might have better been left unsummoned.

I like the mesh-like loincloth he's wearing,
a bit risky though in this situation.





St Jinx's output also includes a version of the Tarot pack and his own Arcana too
I've never understood 'Wands' but I rather like the juxtaposition here 
 of plump buttocks and sharp, pointy objects.

This picture has a touch of Jotto in it's style

The Look of Disappointment

Well you never know what it's going to taste like until you try!

This is a sort of sequel to Look No 31 at mitchmen 

It's a good lesson for the inexperienced,
finding out that you can't always believe what strange men say.

He'll soon learn that the taste is not the point.
Follow the yellow dick road.

Tarzan Captured by Mystery Artist

The Tarzan genre isn't the usual fare at mitchmen, I find the high waist and 'modesty panel' on his classic loin cloths take away the appeal of his physique after a short while. However this set of drawings features a decidedly scanty and lumpy loincloth and the dynamic depiction of the jungle hero being taken down and tied up. That sold it to me. The skull masks worn by these attackers bode ill for him.

It's nice to see that the energetic business of securing the captive also allows space for some casual groping. In fact the clutch of the lower assailant here on Tarzan's bare bottom and the positioning of his face mask is close to being truly intimate.

Also I agree that if you are going to gag someone this way, make it tight!

Men of small stature do not seem out of place in a traditional Tarzan scenario but it's a tricky area these days. These miniature assailants however are heavily stylised and seem to have more in common with the gremlin-like characters in children's cartoons than real humans, so hopefully there's no offence caused.

Tarzan fights back, but it looks as if it's already too late. 
His effort, however, does produce a nice open-legged buttock display. 
Is that why he's winking? (With his eye, that is).

This winking action commonly occurs in Japanese artworks,
 but I have never understood what it means.

Tarzan's fightback and flight is ended in spectacularly sexy fashion.
The rugby style tackle is rarely delivered on the field as decisively as this. 
The lump in his briefs seems to testify to a secret passion for danger
- or for subjugation, perhaps.

The linking of limb restraints into the classic hog-tie signals the end.
And it looks like that fact is finally dawning on jungle boy here.

One assailant plants a foot on his buttock as he pulls the chest roping tighter.
The other attacker puts his foot on the back of Tarzan's other thigh
and his leg seems to take on the shape of a more than worrying threat.
If it's size is anything to go by.

The tightening bindings are more and more painful for jungle boy
But his pec muscles swell in vain - and so it seems does his cock.
His loincloth seems to be slipping down his thighs here.
Great image!

Finally the famous hero lies subjugated in the grass.
The victors pose over him like big game hunters with their prize.
They poke him to see how angry it makes him
and to demonstrate how helpless he is.

Warily he awaits his fate at their hands. 
Notice that his bindings suddenly now include a neck ligature,
 which reiterates the threat in the skull masks worn by his captors.

Browsing through them again now, I was suddenly struck by the resemblance of the subject matter to the art of Black Prof which also sometimes features miniature, abduction assailants. I have noticed too that he rarely seems to sign his pictures - and then only the 'female' ones. See BlackProf's Deviant Art Gallery.

The similarities between image 7 above and the one below by Black Prof are telling.
The striking colouring of eyes, the furrowed brow, the stand-out neck ligaments, the feet shaping, the fly-away gag end and most significant of all to me is the characteristic way of styling the ear recess with arches and a darker colour interior, which is surely a detail no other artist would match by accident.

There are many other points of stylistic similarity, the overall economy of style to start with.

BlackProf - Evil Huntresses


 This comic image by BlackProf features women rather than diminutive, imaginary attackers, 
but it makes a nice companion piece for this mitchmen post.

A decidedly chunky jogger(?) in a wood finds himself targeted by dominatrix huntresses.
He's aggressively stripped and tied up, but I doubt that they intend to put him in a zoo.

That backside stripping frame is great for fans of the fuller figure.

A Cop's Selfie Mistake

What would you do if a cop like this came knocking on your door looking for trouble?



Summoned to a disturbance, it's probably a disappointment to him when he finds the occupant of the Hotel room to be an inoffensive and - well, frankly- a nerdy-looking guy - with sagging pants.

 The Officer notices that the guy's eyes have dropped to his crotch and smiles inwardly. 
He's used to attracting this sort of interest. It looks like this one's going to be no trouble at all.



Until he suddenly produces a gun
"Whoa there man!" he gasps in surprise.



The gunman relieves the cop of his cap and shades and sits him on the settee
It turns out he's quite a looker - and gutsy too, deliberately crossing his legs.
His instincts tell him that flaunting his boots and crotch will distract this guy.
Help him talk his way out of the situation, like he's done a hundred times before.



It works only too well, the gunman is mesmerised, 
He sits down beside him stroking the gleaming boots lovingly.
"How's about you give me your uniform?" he suggests.




"How do you expect me to I do that?" splutters the cop in confusion.
For the first time a glimmer of anxiety shows through his confident veneer.
This guy is seriously weird - and he's got a gun.



In reply the gunman waves his gun in the direction of the bed.
The cop obeys, feeling more and more worried.




Once sat on the bed, he's given a rag and told to sniff it. 
"I call it a selfie", the gun man explains, "give it a try man".

The cop guesses that these are the guy's underpants, 
but they have a very odd smell.

There could be anything on them, anything at all.
A turn-on, or a turn-off. He has no way of knowing.

He feels a stab of fear.
But with a gun pointing at his crotch, he's got little choice.




He leans back on the pillow and inhales through the rag
and immediately he feels consciousness slipping away
Realising he's made a mistake, he panics.



.
But it's too late, the guy pounces on him, making sure.



Seconds later, he's unconscious.



The attacker quickly relieves him of the leather jacket, he covets.
It will be a great addition to his collection of Police memorabilia.



Removing the jacket reveals more goodies underneath.
With his cop sleeping like a baby, the thief eagerly sets to work. 



Gently, lovingly almost, he lifts the cop to ease off his Police tee-shirt
becoming more and more excited all the time.



The tight pants present more of a problem,
It requires quite a bit of tugging to get them moving.



But it's worth the effort, as the cop's cute ass appears.
and he's wearing nice, snugly-fitting, white underpants.
The gunman is tempted to take them too.



But it's those shiny boots that have been a main attraction from the start
He pulls them off, piling up the trophies on the bed.
And now he happens on the keys to the cop's apartment.
where there must be a whole wardrobe there of exciting, used clothing. 
Another uniform even, yum!



That tantalising prospect must wait, he's got more items to collect here.
Sleeping Beauty is no lightweight but fortunately he slumbers on
 through the rough handling needed to get him over, onto his back.



The front of his underpants prove just as pretty as the ass side.
But the nerd is more interested in getting his hands on the cop's tight pants. 




He leaves him lying on the bed and clambers into his uniform.
Sadly, he doesn't have the physique to fill it as well as it's real owner.
But he can still savour his lingering body warmth and odours 
and the sensation of the fabrics brushing against his skin
 - as they previously did his.




This magical moment is interrupted by a groan from the bed.
It sends him scurrying back toot-sweet.
The cop is regaining consciousness and he's gonna be mad!



Quickly, he pulls off one of his socks.



And uses it to gag the guy.
Regretfully, he's gonna have to leave that item behind.
But he still can take the other one of the pair.




That gag and the ropes should keep the cop quiet long enough while he makes his escape.
In a moment of compassion he tosses the 'selfie' rag onto the cop's body.
A modesty piece to replace the underpants he's stolen.




Briefly the nerd stops and thinks about what he's done.
It's a good feeling.

And he's got a whole apartment of more cop goodies awaiting his exploration.

I have been an admirer from afar of the Boot Lust site for many years. Intrigued by their idiosyncratic ads and images of cops in tight pants and boots being taken down and stripped, I always intended to investigate their work properly but the site closed in early 2019 (announcement). It was fatally wounded by demands for censorship from their payment handling company.  This article is mitchmen's belated tribute to Boot Lust and there will be more to come. 

This particular story is galvanised by the chilling device of the cop being made to knock himself out. The horror is that he doesn't know what the substance on the rag is, it could be lethal, but the alternative potentially is a bullet. I can recall a similar device in a TV programme some time back, where a ruthless gang target a slot machine arcade belonging to a rival outfit and invite the innocent, young assistant who happens to be in charge that night to inhale from an aerosol as an alternative to inclusion in the violence that follows. 

The original Boot Lust storyline is full of ambiguities and alternative threads but I have focussed my narrative on the uniform swapping theme which was always a central element of the site's work and produces some magnificent underwear imagery in this case. You can get a sense of the complexity of the original  in the 'Selfie' entry at BestDeaths, a site which has created a sort of  archive based on Boot Lust stuff. They give a more sensible back-story which may well be the original, but be aware that the material there has also been tweaked to support their more specialised, darker interests and the model's naughty bits have all been blurred (see final picture above).

Mitchell - My Beautiful Launderette


The day Billy was called up to start his mandatory period of National Labour Service, they took him to the local launderette where he stripped and put his clothes in the wash. He wouldn't be needing them again for a few years so that they would be cleaned and sent to the local recycling shop for resale.

They did allow him to keep his underpants on, for the sake of public decency since he would be taken to the Labour Distribution Centre on public transport. Once in the the system he wouldn't need them any more, as his new Master would supply his uniform, probably a loincloth.

As he locked Billy into his transit chains, the escort commented that Billy's underpants looked so good on him that when when he was put up for sale at the auction, they would probably be offered as a separate lot instead of being thrown away and he could imagine there being a keen interest in them.

Billy got the window seat on the bus of course and the escort sat next to him, blocking the escape route. He whiled away the journey chatting and endlessly fondling Billy's underpants which seemed to fascinate him. Since Billy's hands were cuffed behind his back he had no choice but to let him. Afterwards his memory of the journey was pretty hazy, but he thought he'd enjoyed it.

The memory of Nick Kamen undressing in the launderette ad for Levi jeans (which I included recently in the mitchmen homoerotic images series) reminded me of this ancient drawing which I am pretty sure I did before Nick's strip hit the screens and must have been inspired by one of the many periods in my life when I used the local launderette to wash my own clothes. Fantasies of a performance like this lightened the weekly boredom of watching my underwear endlessly going round and round in the suds.

Royale Studio 05 - Airman's Gym Spanking - Part 1

Royale Studio - Airman's Gym Training 01

This Royale set shows a bare-topped sailor forcing a man in gym kit to perform exercises on a pommel horse and the floor. This opening image of the set seems to show the tyrant, knotted rope at the ready, creeping up on the athlete who sits daydreaming on the horse (and looking rather like an Edwardian fairy perched on a toadstool) when, presumably, he should be hard at work practicing. 

The model wearing the shorts in this series is Peter George, who we saw tied to the rigging in the very first of this Vintage Royale Studio photo series of articles. He looked equally wistful and absent in that photo, something of a Peter Pan-like figure. 

I haven't positively identified the Trainer by name but he looks to me like Tom Harding from Navy Romeo and Navy Gash (images 14 and 15 below provide a more helpful comparison). In this picture he's obviously eyeing Peter's ass which appears to be clad in satin-like shorts (an effect replicated in another, very sexy 'footballer' picture attributed to Royale, just below). The curved snout of the pommel horse has a certain phallic quality and seems to emerge from between the Trainer's legs for Peter's to sit on, initiating the sense that the Trainer has a sexual interest in him.

This man's shorts seem almost transparent, probably a consequence of Royale's practice of wetting them so they cling tight. Who wouldn't want to touch or spank that succulent bottom? It's one of my favourite Royale images. But I've not been able to identify the model.

The dreamer dismounts looking sullen and resentful but resting his ass casually on the snout of the horse. His trademark Royale, tight, white shorts bulge provocatively in the fashion of Scott of LondonThe athlete is no pussy, he's muscular and fit, but his entire pose here seems deliberately provocative with a coy dip of the head seeming to reciprocate the Trainer's interest. 

The Navy man stares at the young man's groin with his knotted rope raised. It's not clear if he is contemplating a grope, or is contemplating lashing it to quell the rebellion and restore proper military discipline.

Sadly, although I have a complete set of 30 images for this series, they are all of this grainy quality, so it's less of an erotic treat than it ought to be. I wish I could find a way of clarifying them but standard photo enhancers don't seem to help very much. At least, the black background colour of the blog helps a little.

The Instructor asserts his authority, bringing Peter to attention before him. 
Peter's bearing is not overly military here*. Perhaps his relaxed pose is still signalling his resentment or lingering laziness.  

Luckily the Trainer still seems to be more interested in staring at his crotch (which seems to be less prominent here, the bulge disappearing like a mirage). In any event the Trainer's raised hand and the remarkably rigid, knotted rope has dropped to his side. 

The two men remain connected by the shape of the horse with it's handles 'at attention' between them like dildos.

*I don't have a Royale catalogue description for this set but Peter George is described as being a Corporal and Physical Training Instructor in the blurb for his solo sets (see note 2 below). In other words he was a military man

When Peter finally does commence his exercises, his physical fitness and training immediately becomes apparent in holding this demanding position. His raised feet are slightly skewed towards his mentor, which makes it even more difficult to hold. 

His Trainer still seems preoccupied with the young man's crotch, but Peter's twist towards him also appears presents a tremendous sight of his tensed thighs and backside, stretching those shorts to the limit. 

The sense of sexual chemistry simmers on.

Press-ups on the pommel horse offer the Trainer an even more tempting sight.

The tightness of Peter's shorts becomes even more apparent in this image with the centre seam drawn up between his buttocks and his thighs bulging out of the leg openings. The Trainer moves in closer, clearly poised to spank him but there's no obvious reason for it, other than temptation. 

The tormentor's change in position for this image presents a more attractive view of his own physique, showing a pert bottom, clad insnug-fitting trousers. Their tightness is betrayed by a fleshy bulge above the belt. His bell bottoms (which have obviously been wetted as was usual for Royale Studio) look less untidy, less crumpled than in the previous images.

This image has a number in the corner indicating that it has been cropped from a thumbnail sheet but it is the same quality as the rest of the set and you can see that the number seems to have been erased from the corner of the preceding picture. They all seem of the same quality.

Here the poor gymnast seems to have collapsed over the horse presumably from the beating he's has received. His left hand reaches back, symbolically seeking to protect his backside. His thighs look more muscular than ever in this perspective and make him look bigger than than his tormentor. 

Shorts aficionados will enjoy the lifted flaps of the side-dart in the hem of these shorts, provided exactly to accommodate thigh expansion. Those with imaginative, lustful eyes will also spot that Peter's shorts create the illusion of the head of a penis, propped against the trunk of the horse.

In these opening images, the Trainer hardly changes position and they are clearly intended as a showcase for Peter's physique and fitness - and why not?

In desperation, the gymnast seeks refuge under the horse. This pose
 seems to continue his casting as a less than manly character despite his obvious physical attributes, not least this view of his (increasingly) formidable backside and thighs, although it's a somewhat receptive pose.  

The Trainer pursues him with his rope and this gives us a nice view of his own upper body. I like the hairy forearm on the left. That clenched fist means business and Peter's ass is in the firing line. If his body were lying reversed left to right in this picture one might suspect a penetrative threat from that fist (and don't imagine that practice was unknown in 1960). 

The military being able to 'make a man' of new recruits (who were typically 18 years old when entering UK National Service) was a common belief in post-war Britain. However, there's a thin line between strict discipline and bullying - especially when forbidden physical attractions come into the equation. Compulsory National Service ended in 1963 which interestingly coincides with Royale's heyday.

In picture 8 the gymnast balances on top of the horse as though about to perform a head stand.

It isn't clear if this picture depicts a resumption of the gymnast's normal training regime with the Trainer poised to correct any further error, or is a deliberately humiliating example of 'assuming the position' to be beaten. It seems to boil down to the same thing in this storyette. 

Even this relatively poor quality image shows Peter's lean, muscularity to great effect. The airman's well defined, muscular physique and tight clothes are the star of this little series. The better quality originals of these pictures must have been very sensual. 

Many of the photos, as usual, are pretty static but artfully composed, here striking a balance between humour and eroticism. Obviously artistic styling can constitute a defence against censorship laws but the S&M element here isn't very subtle.

Once again Peter ends up on the floor, almost in tears as the relentless beating goes on.
It's an unusual, emotional dimension, another indicator of the subject's sensitivity
in an era when men were expected to bear pain and humiliation with fortitude.

It seems almost callous to observe that it results in another great image of his lower body.

Notice that the handles/pommels have been removed from the horse after picture 7 and it's been temporarily moved back against the wall. The session continues with more conventional PT floor exercises.

Peter's execution of this simple stretching and balance exercise seems to meet with his mentor's approval. These signs of submission and obedience seem to cause the sexual temperature to drop.

Peter presents a neat, trim figure but the front of his shorts are less revealing than one might wish, possibly a deliberate decision by Royale, perhaps the original was a little too graphic!

Peter is not just toe-touching here, he's comfortably touching the floor, demonstrating impressive flexibility. One can't help thinking that the Trainer's obvious pleasure is partly derived from the sexually submissive nature of his pose. We catch a nice glimpse of Peter's crotch.

The horse lurks in the background, it's splayed legs mirrored by Peter's.

You can't blame Royale for also giving us the rear view of the same bent over posture! 
The feel of submissiveness, bowing to his master, is even stronger in this variant. 
Peter's head aligns suggestively with the Trainer's crotch and for the first time we see some detailing there, with just a modest hint of volume, thanks to the clingy dampness. There's a distinct sense that he is about to administer a spanking.


In this picture, you can actually see the stretching of tendons at the back of Peter's leg that this exercise promotes. The Trainer is holding him down, possibly pressing him down further to increase the stretch. It's a legitimate coaching intervention but one that makes the stretch more painful.

Peter's submissiveness seems to rekindle the Trainer's lust. The athlete finds himself back on the horse in another humiliating punishment position and for the first time we actually see the knotted rope striking his ass. The rigidity of the rope makes static posing of this image possible, but there's a hint of a blur there. One might wish for a more dynamic, more involved pose on the part of the Trainer. 

This picture seems to jump back to the stylised balancing of No 8, but 13 is it's correct position according to the Royale Catalogue sheet (see Note 1 below). The horse changes position several times in the storyette possibly reflecting a reshuffling of the sequence. The flow of the narrative is pretty flexible.

There follows a demonstration of the classic press-up floor exercise. The relaxed starting position is inherently submissive and the Trainer looks on approvingly. This camera angle brings Peter's peachy bottom nicely to the fore again. The Trainer angles his rope towards it, it's frayed ends resembling prongs.

Peter almost looks naked below the waist here thanks to brightness washout. All we can see of his shorts is the V-dart cut out of the side seam. I assume that this was not a deliberate ploy by Royale to slip in some nudity but who knows? The other images in the set certainly don't seem to suffer white-out to this extent.

Compare the Trainer in this picture with Tom Harding in the cast photo from Navy Gash (Tom is  sitting on the right). The chin detail, mop of hair and general build seem a good match to me. His controlling role here also matches how he is used in other Royale Studio shoots.

In the press-up raised position a nice buttock tightening effect teases the on-lookers and I know there are people out there who will find the glimpse of shadow at the front of his thigh equally inspiring!

Peter's rigidity in this position is another indicator of his fitness and experience. You sense he's looking back wondering if it's OK. With the Trainer stood behind him he's in a very vulnerable position, blind-sided and completely defenceless.

The Trainer cannot resist striking once again at this peachy target.
Peter turns in surprise (and growing annoyance no doubt)
Nothing he does seems to please this man.

The Trainer's rigid rope doesn't just strike Peter's buttock, it's angled directly into his crack, seeming to advance the erotic agenda that he has concealed behind impassive stares until now. His crotch detailing becomes visible again but gives little away.

The official title of this series is unknown to me. It doesn't appear in any of the catalogues I have. There is a catalogue thumbnail sheet for the set (above) which tells us there are 30 pictures in all and gives their sequence, but it's bafflingly labelled '2-BR'. Royale labels usually involved the model's initials (which doesn't fit with Peter George) or else abbreviated the title (as in NARO - Navy Romeo). 'Bullies Retribution' might fit here but that's just a guess. It's implied that there's also a 1-BR but I haven't seen it. 

Sailor Al called this series 'Gym' and I've also seen it called 'Navy Gym' which might conceivably been the original title. However since the athlete's vest in this series bears a badge with an eagle similar in style to that used by the RAF (*see Note 2 below), I have taken it to mean that he is playing an airman and used that as my own, more descriptive title, for the series. 

It's interesting to see that a previous owner of this sheet seems to have picked out his favourite pictures - 5, 12, 16, 17, 23, 25 and 26. Good choice!

Whilst the eagle on Peter's vest is very similar to that used by the RAF, it's usually contained within a roundel on their official badges. I can't find one that looks exactly like Peter George's, but I did find this one:

Interestingly, this is the official badge worn by RAF PT Instructors. In Royale Studio's notes for Peter George's solo set '3-PUN', he is described as Corporal Peter George, a Physical Training Instructor. This occupation was also referenced in beefcake magazines of the time that printed his pictures. Royale did not specify which branch of the services he was in, but Trim magazine stated that he was an RAF man. Whether that's based on information suppled by Royale or an inspired guess like mine, I don't know. It's not hard to imagine Peter's badge being cut out or fashioned from an RAF one like this to create a subtle reference to his background, which Royale clearly wanted to exploit.

I mentioned Royale's connection to the annual, London, 'Royal Tournament' in No 3 of this mitchmen series (Navy Gash). The RAF contributed that event along with the other services, this Royal Tournament 1964 RAF gymnastics display video happens to be contemporaneous with the Royal era (but it's not possible to spot Peter in it!)

The Trainer's desire to punish Peter mounts further.
He changes here from using artistic humiliation poses and opportunist flicks with his rope,
to engaging in full-on spanking with Peter pinned down on the top of the horse. 
The fact that we can't see his face adds to the sense of subjugation.

The curved shape of the horse forces his legs to stretch out behind, opening slightly to straddle it. 

Possibly the sexiest image in the set if you're a spank fan.

But the relentless assault has now become too much for Peter.
He turns and stops his tormentor from delivering the next blow, 
which he was clearly intending to make even more forceful.
He had even risen onto his toes to bring more weight to bear.

This action also raises his crotch closer to Peter's face
but Peter seems to turn away.

The battered athlete finally rebels and turns on his tormentor
and the oppressor suddenly looks far less bulky and intimidating.

Like the rest of this set, it's a very 'posed' picture, 
but the intertwining is quite sculptural and Peter's pose is almost balletic.
There's also a decent tension and sense of strength in the grapple. 

 However the erotic is not forgotten, both men have their backsides turned towards us.
Peter's being still in the line of fire of that rope.

The bully is forced to his knees (nice showcasing his own shapely buttocks)
It's another classical sort of image, but by a quirk of the camera lens, 
Peter suddenly seems to be looming over his tormentor.
It's as if his show of spirit has caused him to become a giant. 

The close bodily intimacy here is rather daring.

A great domination image with interesting shadow detail.
Peter's crotch here is poised directly above the bully's face
producing a rather subtle, erotic potential.

and straddling his body, much closer to his face.
He reaches for the knotted rope to establish full control.

This is the best image in the set for me - energy, unrestrained eroticism and sexual domination. 

Although the rope is raised threateningly, it's physically impossible for Peter to use it in this position, in fact there's no image in the set that actually shows him landing a blow.

It's his crotch, with contents clearly delineated by shadows and creases which is the threat.
It's poised just inches above the hated Trainer's face, ready to descend.

The Trainer fights back (or so it seems)
 but rather than throwing Peter off, the pair have simply turned sideways.
and his chest is still intimately bedded between Peter's thighs. 

Is Peter's left hand holding him back in this picture - or pulling his head forward?
The phallic, drooping tip of the horse seems to creep closer, sniffing.

At this point it seems like Peter has had enough and is turning tail.
The angry Trainer prepares to get up and follow him,
incidentally giving us a nice shot of his back muscles.
But there's more to this picture than this unexpected plot development....

Peter has bent down presenting his backside to the Trainer's face.
He seems to look back, resting his hand suggestively on the tip of the horse. 
You can read this as being inviting or/and signalling that he's in control, sexually.
The tip of the horse just happens to be exactly aligned with the Trainer's mouth. 
Coincidence? Or design?

In fact this composition has a splendid connecting line that starts with Peter's head, curves with his back and ass, down through the Trainer's torso to the floor. That curve seemingly encloses the projecting shape of the horse, rather like an 'end' bracket, thus:  --) It's a cleverly disguised message that seems to sum up the ambiguous, on-going, simmering sexuality between these pair.

Peter clambers on to the horse, giving himself more height and launching himself onto the trainer before he can stand up. This move is reminiscent of those dives off of table tops in swashbuckling movie fights, but might also have been inspired by the use of ropes in professional wrestling which was coming into vogue in the UK at this time and about to launch on TV (ITV World of Sport).

Paradoxically, this picture also seems to suggest that he's going to be received with open arms. It's possible (at a stretch admittedly) to see Peter's act as symbolising an erection (and that represented in his body shape). The Trainer's sexy, open-legged stance and wide open arms suggest unexpected receptiveness and vulnerability. Notice that the Trainer's own phallic symbol, the rope, is pushed aside, disappearing out of the side of the picture. 

This looks convincingly like an action shot, but it was probably posed statically due to camera limitations. Peter demonstrates more balancing skill to sustain what looks like an unstable position.  It's a crafty picture though, your eye tends to assume that the horse is sideways-on but in fact it's angled towards you so Peter's leading leg is not hovering in thin air but planted on the horse like a tightrope walker's. 

His co-star's kneeling pose looks equally unbalanced but I think that is a trick of the camera. 
This is a particularly nice shot of him from behind, suggestive of manly bulk.

Here, the necessity of static posing turns what ought to be an 'impact' picture into a 'help me get down' image that seems to hark back (unintentionally) to Peter's boyish, softness in the opening pictures of the set. However, it has produced a particularly attractive shot of the Trainer (his best methinks) and (out of context) seems to show manly dominance and a welcoming back of the prodigal son that is warmly homoerotic.

However, the suggestion of an embrace is illusory for the Trainer has reclaimed the rope and it remains poised menacingly, it's frayed ends a reminder of the intensity of earlier misuse.

However, Peter's fight-back in this story is not finished. 
His flight knocks the Trainer to the floor again.
Peter pins him down by the shoulders, 
his leg pushing between his thighs.

The bully is knocked out.
Peter stands over him in a nicely crafted pose, 
seeming satisfied but alert to deal with any revival.

It seems to say "You deserved that". 
The horse seems to chuckle in the background.

The reclaimed rope drooping in Peter's hand here suggests he might be thinking of delivering other, wetter punishments and you might think the 'hands free' pose in the final picture below is suggestive of exactly that.

Thumbs up. Job well done.
(until word gets back to their superiors).

Views through open legs like this are something of a Royal trademark, one that was employed also by Guys in Uniform. If you check out those examples you will see it works rather better with stocky legs.

Compared with No 29, this is a somewhat disappointing final picture in dramatic and erotic terms, although there is that faint whiff of the urinal about it and a decent copy might show enough detail of the Trainer's crotch for fans to fantasise about Peter squatting on his toadstool. Otherwise we have to content ourselves with a vanilla, fairy tale ending - the sensitive dreamer outwitting a sadistic bully by virtue of his athletic agility - and a parting shot of Peter's delicious bottom.

All in all this series it's a feast of bottom shots, mostly Peter's, with a couple of very nice crotch shots making memorable punctuations (Nos 2, 23 and, in a better quality set, 29 too perhaps). It's also a feast of spanking imagery with eight distinct occurrences and it really puzzles me why it doesn't pop up more often at spank sites.

This series seems to have been primarily designed to showcase Peter and as well as looking good physically, he also does enough in acting terms to bring the staged poses to life which is no mean achievement. The wrestling sequence seems to cry out for video, but be careful what you wish for, porn actors don't usually have the practical craft to put on a convincing wrestling performance, they tend to end up as friendly rough and tumbles.

Despite the cauldron of sexual suggestiveness and ambiguity cooked up by the photographer we end up no wiser at the end about the inner feelings of the participants - or even what has really happened here. A bit like a Becket play. All very sixties.

The inter-services element is something of a mystery too, the sailor is definitely in charge but wouldn't have any jurisdiction normally. Even Sailor Al was perplexed by this one!

A Gym style punishment talso featured in my review of Guys in Uniform material and it's quite an interesting erotic power scenario. For the ordinary serviceman, the stiff formality of his uniform has a protective character and hides his individuality. When he is made to change into flimsy, briefer gym kit his body is more exposed but he also loses that shield of anonymity and membership of a group. The dispenser of punishment here remains part-clad in his normal service uniform which reinforces his authority and the disconnection of the victim.

Mitchell - Night Visitor

Greg woke up with a start, realising someone was in his bed with him.
He had felt the sudden sag as it gave beneath their weight.

A hand began scrabbling with his pyjamas, releasing the waist tie.
He tried to stop them, but his wrist was grabbed, pulled back, twisted up his back.
An arm snaked round his neck jerking it backwards.

"Not a sound!" a vaguely familiar voice hissed in his ear.

Then he was rolled forwards on to his chest.
His arm forced up between his shoulder blades.
His face pushed down into the pillow, muffling his protests

He felt his pyjama bottoms being roughly tugged down and off.
Then the intruder lay on top of him trapping him beneath his weight
He could feel the warmth of his body, the press of his skin

"What is this? Who are you?" Greg whimpered.

The man stirred and his body hair brushed Greg's shoulders
as he leaned forward to touch his lips to Greg's ear

"I am your innermost desire", he whispered darkly

Greg felt his legs being slowly spread apart.

Lottery Luck

Every man who entered the swimming gala at the Tuffluk County Fair this year
was given a free pair of swim trunks with a lottery number on the front.

The Star Prize was to be a new home and income for life.

The draw was made about 5pm and it was No 7 that came up




The prize turned out to be a place in the National Labour Programme.

5 years guaranteed work, board and lodging all included.


Brace Yourselves Boys!

Afterwards, sitting in the transport to the Labour Aggregation Center, the shackled boys compared notes and found that they all had had flings in the past with Susie Jones, the girl who had been handing out the 'free lottery trunks' at the County Fair. Flings that had all ended in acrimony after she found out about them two-timing her. It looked like they all had 5 years to think about that mistake.

2015


Oztangles - All Together

2015 seems to have been a quiet year for Oztangles art, this gym buddies series being the most interesting work. Sex in gyms seems to be a favoured subject for him but explicit images like this are relatively rare in Oztangles's work. It's a straightforward subject in erotic terms but but the mirror splattering effect (almost impossible to capture in a photograph) is a neat twist. 

This picture features some nice chunky physiques. 


2016


Oztangles - Asana

This striking pose featuring another 'chunky' makes a great picture and despite it's academic style and spiritual undertones is unashamedly erotic. Asana is the general term for a yoga pose and that influence is seen in other pictures in this period, in fact the companion piece to gym buddies (featured just above) shows both men striking a similar pose alongside each other to create an arty double-vision effect.


Oztangles - The New Gym Manager

The artist revisited that gym sex idea in more detail in 2016, using the same setting. He produced a 6 piece series which shows a provocatively-dressed Shawn being seduced (?) by the hunky new gym manager, Phil. 

Oz's interest in unusual, erotic clothing is familiar to us now but it seems slightly naive of Shawn to wear this skimpy outfit to the gym and then look surprised when it prompts the first man who sees it to start undressing. It seems as though that Phil's hyper-masculine appearance is overwhelming him, like a dream come true. Oz has gone out of his way here to create two men who stand at almost opposite extremes of the gay spectrum of sex appeal in almost every respect and it's a surprising pairing. 


Oztangles - Going Down On Shawn

Shawn's shocked surprise continues (somewhat improbably) as Phil gets down to work. 
Another chunky physique, despite his athletic occupation.


Oztangles - Pumping Shawn*

Shawn ends up shooting the mirror just like his predecessor in 2015, but this is a more refined version of that image. The change of angle and inclusion of an embracing arm succeeds in bringing out that these men are experiencing deep sensual pleasure from coupling their bodies, not just slaking their lust.

*I've sanitised the pungent wording of the original title, but that's not to minimise the genuine lustfulness of this series.


Oztangles - Chastity Scoreboard

Earlier images in this series which featured chastity cages seemed focussed simply on crude control but this is a more thoughtful study. It uses simple symbolism to develop the subject of extended chastity. 


The clock obviously shows the passage of time. Typically, Oz chooses an impressive, antique type, perhaps intending to draw on the idea of Victorian values such as discipline, obedience and devotion to a partner. The scoreboard presumably records the number of days this man has gone without discharging his feelings (although a cynic might see it as a count of how many times he has serviced his partner without getting any similar reward himself).

You may have seen diaries of men recording their experience of wearing chastity devices for an prolonged period. It's a way of showing loyalty to a partner, I suppose, but a bit weird if not reciprocated. I suspect the practice is not so much a lifestyle choice, as an exotic form of edging.



2017

Oztangles - The Milking Shed

I published this picture previously at mitchmen in 2020 as part of the milking factory series but make no apology for repeating it here. It the sort of arresting, composite drama that Oz is very good at but adds to his portfolio only occasionally. 

He's populated this one with an attractive range of men, all fitted with extraction tubes. The most prolific producer (right) isn't fully visible but his sexy body provides ample interest. The others watch warily as the overseer approaches with a device to stimulate production from one of the laggards. He's the most mature of the group above so it's understandable if his production capability isn't what it used to be. The nipple clips have obviously failed to do the trick so it looks like the foreman is about to try the carrot. If that doesn't work, I suppose the stick will be next.


Oztangles - Wet Nightmare

This image draws on a similar, forced milking scenario and uses the same visual construct for the mature, principal character, who we now see is sitting in another of Oztangle's sci-fi restraint frames, this one disguised as hi-tech, deck chair. 

From this angle we can see that his ejaculate is being extracted into 5 separate collection vessels but we can only guess what they represent. Perhaps it's quality is being sifted by the extraction device (which appears to be impressively powered by nuclear fuel!). My guess is that the tubes reveal his declining production over successive periods of time, hence the need to provide stimulation.

If this is a production facility, it's a more private one with a cold, more clinical atmosphere but the harness-clad operative has clearly commandeered this man for his own pleasure as much as anything else. His method for stimulating production - an electro-wand - is crueler and much more intimidating than the dildo in the preceding picture. The victim's curled toes suggest that just the sight of it has already had an encouraging effect.


Oztangles - Vampire Prince

The subject of milking is explored further with this image which has the look of another nightmare with it's victim chained to a cold, sacrificial block planted in the middle of a vast, arid, featureless plain. He looks like a fairly ordinary guy with his ginger mop and smattering of chest hair, although I suppose his endowment is exceptional. He is being molested by a rather cute vampire to the accompaniment of dramatic lightning bolts and flanked by blazing torches which add a mystical, semi-religious air to the proceedings.

The simplicity of the setting contrasts with the finely-detailed sets of other images in this period but it does create the sense of a nightmare where things are sensed rather than seen and there's a feeling of detachment from the real world.


2018

Oztangles - Think You Can Take This?

2018 Seems to have been a quiet period for the artist as this is one of only two pictures by him which I have seen, the other being a beefcake pose of the leotard-clad 'rough trade' in the image above. Apart from his sexy characterisation and the intricately detailed (but slightly puzzling) setting, it's a relatively straightforward sexual encounter between a boastful top and a passer by who looks as if he might be a lot less experienced. The challenging words put into the top's mouth by the title represent the sort of sexually-aggressive situation that Ulf often simulates but it's not really my cup of tea. His seated position and 'come and get me' outfit don't quite chime with those forceful words.   

2019

Oztangles - Alien Nightmare

This image might easily form the basis for an entry in the mitchmen 'Milking Factory' series but it doesn't seem as if mass production is what these elegant, highly-stylised aliens have in mind. Mass assessment clearly is however and they have built an expensive facility of, effectively, niche-like cages where men can be detained humanely and their plumbing examined. Imprisoned comrades are obliged to look on while one of their number is singled out for milking, not such a terrible fate you might think.

Oztangles - Fallen Angel

This image revives two successful Oz themes from earlier years.

Firstly the cellar like dungeon where captives are restrained to await the attentions of a master who is seen descending the steps to deal with them. This atmospheric setting was previously seen in 2009's 'Downstairs it's Playtime' (in mitchmen Oztangles retrospective Part 1).

Secondly, the character 'Angel' who was last seen running amok in a weight training gym in 'Bench Press' and other related images from that same year. Now he seems to have met his match and is obliged to await the inevitable in a humiliating and highly uncomfortable pose. It offers an erotic sight to the top that has already prompted a reaction from him and his smile perhaps reflects knowledge of Angel's romantic exploits in earlier times, maybe even a personal interest in taming him. 

Quite what caused Oz to revisit these ideas 10 years later is unknown, perhaps this was an unfinished project, but if so it's completion adds a significant entry to his portfolio. 

We have come to expect 'fashion statements' from Oz in his pictures - witness the sweeping alien garments in the preceding image - and he duly obliges here by equipping the top with gold boots.

Oztangles - The Night Clerk

This picture has a slightly unfinished feel which may account for the absence of a logo. The hotel room depicted is seedy to the point of dilapidation so the appearance of the Night Clerk at the door, knowingly dressed in ragged, denim? shorts and lured (mesmerised almost!) by the promise of cash from a chubby guest is not overly surprising. It's not a common subject for a gay artist though (in contrast to last years Rough Trade, alley sex image).

The client's appearance here is a logical development of the chunky physiques 0f 2015-6 above and it's not altogether unattractive and certainly not devoid of erotic interest, but it makes a dramatic contrast with the steely, 'cut', musculature of the God-like gigolo in the doorway. That difference in appearance and age tends to be a chasm in real life, one that can usually only be bridged by money, so there's a measure of social comment here 

Unexpectedly, there's a picture on the wall which satirises the old masters and the publicity stills of early, glamorous Hollywood stars. It's canted angle perhaps suggests that this sordid scene is the fate in store for even the most desirable sex objects as age asserts itself.
